Nanostellar, Inc. Enabling Clean Energy and Clean Air with Nano Catalysts
President and CEO Michael Pak in NYC at Nano Business Conference to Explain How Nano Catalysts deliver Clean Energy and Clean Air Solutions.
MENLO PARK, CA May 14, 2004 -- Nanostellar will join the international nanotechnology business community when the companys President and CEO, Michael Pak, meets with investors, press, and businessmen in New York City next week to present Nanostellars proprietary approach to design & synthesize nano catalysts for a wide range of clean energy applications. Pak will be available to meet one-on-one with the assembled leaders in nanotechnology financing, commercialization and media at the Nano Business Conference.
Nanostellar is currently developing highly efficient Platinum Nano-Composite Catalyst solutions to increase the efficiency of automobile catalytic converters and dramatically reduce their cost. This is the first in a series of Nano-Composite Catalyst products to address the energy catalyst, hydrogen fuel cell, solar power, and battery markets. Nanostellars scientific vision is to build business value around technology and products that will produce environmentally friendly, clean energy for the next 100 years.
Michael Pak explains, Global industrialization requires the rapid development of clean energy in order to preserve the clean air we all breathe. And global energy catalyst markets markets are huge Platinum Group Metal Catalysts are $10-12 billion annual. The automobile catalyst market alone is $5-7 billion annually spent on Platinum Group Catalysts. We are working to reduce that cost by 30% in 2004 and 90% in 2006, yielding cost reductions of at least $1.5+ billion and $4.5+ billion annually at current platinum prices and in the automobile catalysts market alone! Im looking forward to introducing one of the first nanotechnology products with short-term multi-billion dollar revenue potential to the corporate, investor, and press leaders assembled at the Nano Business Conference.
Nanostellar has filed five broad patent applications to date on its quantum simulation software and technology expertise as applied to the design and development of efficient and low cost nano catalysts that can be scaled for mass production in current materials manufacturing facilities. Some application areas include gasoline engine three-way catalyst, lean-burn diesel engine catalytic materials, fuel cell proton exchange membrane assemblies, and catalysts for the chemical and petrochemical industries.
